A New Attitude

So last week was a rough week for me. I didn't really "feel" like working out but kept up doing the "basics" of running and doing my Yoga. I think that every once in awhile it is good to scale back and let your body rest before you hit it hard again. I've also realized that I just can NOT miss a workout - even if I do 30 minutes of light cardio I feel better than doing nothing at all. I'm ADDICTED to my workouts now. That is a good thing!

This week I'm back in the groove and back to doing weights (currently Chalean Extreme) at least 3 days a week. I would like to get back to extra cardio besides the regular cardio and weights I have scheduled but will have to see how my week goes to see if I can fit it in now that we are back in school. BUSY!!

Okay so this week has been a rough one. Both children have had temps at around 102 and higher at times. I was pretty tired so it's been rough getting my workouts in. They are both doing much better today but I think now I'm going to have to get caught up on MY sleep!

So for my workout today I've only done 40 minutes of yoga and a 30 minute walk. I plan on doing the Brazil Butt Lift High and Tight later today since swimsuit season is approaching fast!!

New to Blogging!

First off I have to say that this is all new to me. I love to read other's blogs but just wasn't sure what to say! :) My Hubby would tell you I have PLENTY to say though....

This will be a bit of a "mixed" website. I'll be blogging about health and fitness as well as being a Mom and a homeschooler. I think it's important for everyone to workout and eat healthy but definitly for a Mom. As Mom's we tend to put others first. However, if we are doing that then we are going to be run down and tired and unable to continue putting others first. SO- with that said... I get up at 4:30-5am every morning and workout. I currently am doing the Brazil Butt lift (at my age I think everything can use a lift!) and Insanity. My Hubby is doing Insanity with me and seeing some real results and he is only 2 weeks into our second round!! He likes telling everyone that I'm his Coach! :) I'm also working on "Eating Clean."

What does Eating Clean mean to me? It means that I am eating from the top two tiers of Michi's Ladder. That means I'm eating mostly fresh fruits and veggies with lean proteins and only stevia and Yacon syrup for sweeteners. I'll post a typical "day" in my nutrition later on. I have found that the cleaner I eat the better I feel. I also try REALLY hard to keep my nutrition as RAW as possible. If the food is alive it's better for me and my family!

Have a blessed day!
